Saturday at IKEA, French Style
Furnish your new flat: pick a wardrobe, eat the meatballs, sort out delivery and survive the flat-pack assembly.
French IKEA stores are mostly on the edge of big cities, so people go by car or by public transport plus a long walk, and arrange home delivery for big items. You note the allée and emplacement numbers of flat-pack furniture and collect it in the libre-service warehouse before the checkouts. Shopping with a partner or flatmate, you'll use tu, and say « chez Ikea » or « à Ikea ».
