Checking In and Flying Out of a French Airport
Check in, get through security, and handle delays, cancellations and a lost bag at a French airport.
At French airports you usually check in online and drop your bag at the dépose-bagages desk about two hours before a European flight; low-cost airlines charge a lot for cabin bags over their free size, so weigh yours first. At security, liquids must be in containers of 100 ml or less in one clear bag, though new scanners at some airports let you leave them in. Under EU rules a cancelled or badly delayed flight can earn you compensation, and a missing bag must be reported at the baggage desk before you leave the arrivals hall.
