Getting a Haircut in France
Book a slot, explain the cut you want and chat in the chair at a French hair salon.
Most French salons take bookings by phone or through apps like Planity, though some barbers accept walk-ins. Prices are usually listed as a package such as « shampoing, coupe, brushing » (wash, cut, blow-dry), and women's cuts generally cost more than men's. Tipping isn't expected but a couple of euros is appreciated; clients and staff use vous.
