Lost Something on the Paris Metro?
Describe what you lost, fill in the declaration and get your bag back from the lost property office.
In Paris, things found in the metro, buses, taxis and streets end up at the Préfecture de police's Service des objets trouvés, rue des Morillons, and you can also declare a loss online; SNCF runs its own lost-property service for trains. If a bank card goes missing, block it straight away with your bank (faire opposition). For a theft you file a complaint (porter plainte) at the commissariat; for a simple loss of an ID card or passport, you declare it when you apply for a new one.
