Volunteering With a French Association

Offer your time to a local association, sort out membership and training, and fit in with the other volunteers.

Volunteering in France happens through associations (set up under the 1901 law), which recruit bénévoles on sites like JeVeuxAider.gouv.fr and France Bénévolat or at the local forum des associations each September. Many ask for a small yearly cotisation to become a member, which also covers your insurance. Volunteers switch to tu very quickly, and you can ask for an attestation de bénévolat to put on your CV.
