At the Dentist in Spain
Book an appointment, describe tooth pain, understand the dentist and ask about the price at a Spanish dental clinic.
In Spain dental care is almost entirely private: you book at a 'clínica dental', and fillings, extractions and other treatments are quoted in a 'presupuesto' that you can often pay in instalments or partly cover with dental insurance. The public health system only covers extractions and emergencies. The cards follow one patient in Bilbao from the phone call to a cleaning that turns into a filling and a wisdom-tooth conversation.
