Doing Laundry in Spain
Use the washing machine, the self-service laundrette and the dry cleaner's in Spain.
In Spanish flats the washing machine usually sits in the kitchen, and almost nobody has a dryer: clothes are hung out on a tendedero or a line on the balcony. When the machine breaks, there's a lavandería autoservicio on most corners, and coats go to the tintorería. These cards follow a newcomer in Madrid learning the flat's machine, a trip to the laundrette, and a few laundry disasters.
