Saying Hello in Spain
Greet people, catch up and say goodbye the way Spaniards really do, from "¡Hola, buenas!" to "¡Hasta ahora!".
Spaniards greet everyone: the café owner, neighbours, people in the lift. "Buenos días" lasts until lunch at about two, friends and new acquaintances get two kisses, and "hasta luego" is said even if you won't meet again today. The cards follow a Saturday in a neighbourhood in Zaragoza, from the morning coffee to dinner at a friend's.
