At the Hairdresser and Barber in Spain
Everyday Spanish expressions for booking a haircut, explaining what you want and reacting to the result.
In Spain you usually pedir cita, book an appointment, at the peluquería by phone or WhatsApp, while many barberías take walk-ins. Hairdressers address you as tú, wash your hair first and chat the whole time, and tipping is optional, often just rounding up. The cards follow a curly-haired customer booking and getting a new look, then going along to a friend's barber.
