Knitting and Crochet in Spain

Simple phrases for buying wool, learning stitches and joining a knitting group.

In Spain, knitting is hacer punto and crochet is ganchillo. Wool and needles come from a mercería, the small haberdashery found in every neighbourhood, and many centros cívicos and libraries run free weekly groups where beginners learn from experienced knitters. The cards follow buying your first wool and spending an afternoon at a knitting group.
