Launderette and Rooftop Washing Lines in Spain
Use a self-service launderette and share the building's rooftop washing lines with your neighbours.
Spanish flats rarely have a shared laundry room: the washing machine is usually in the kitchen, so when it breaks you go to a lavandería de autoservicio, where it's first come, first served. Many older buildings have an azotea, a flat shared roof with washing lines for the whole comunidad. These cards follow a week with a broken washing machine.
