Money Talk and Saving in Spain

The colourful expressions Spaniards use for being broke, saving, splurging and splitting the bill.

Spaniards talk about money openly and with plenty of idioms: you can be "sin blanca", something can cost "un ojo de la cara", and a bargain is "un chollo". Splitting with Bizum, hunting deals on Wallapop and "hacer números" at the end of the month are everyday life. The cards follow two friends in Zaragoza planning a weekend away on a tight budget.
