Shopping and Returns in Spain
Ask about warranties and prices, pay at the till and return something that broke in a Spanish shop.
In Spain new products carry a three-year legal warranty, and most big shops let you return things within 14 to 30 days with the receipt ('el tique'). Plastic bags cost a few cents, and every shop must have an official complaint form, 'la hoja de reclamaciones'. The cards follow a shopper buying a coffee machine in an electronics shop and taking it back a week later.
