Spain has some of the darkest skies in Europe, and places like Albarracín, Gredos or the Canary Islands are popular for observar las estrellas. In August, people drive out of the cities to watch the Perseidas, lying on a blanket until well past midnight. The cards follow a friend's invitation to leave Madrid's light pollution behind for a night under the stars.
