Tipping in Spain
Learn how much (and whether) to tip in Spanish bars, restaurants, taxis and deliveries — and how to say it.
Tipping in Spain is optional and modest: service is included in the price, and people usually leave some small change, round up a taxi fare or leave a few euros after a good dinner. Nobody expects the 15-20% common in the US. The cards follow a newcomer in Valencia learning the local habits from a Spanish friend, then tipping at dinner, in a taxi and for a delivery.
