Going to a Wedding in Spain

Getting the invitation, sorting the gift, and celebrating with the couple until the open bar closes.

Spanish weddings are long: a ceremony, often a civil one at the town hall or an estate, then a cocktail hour, a big sit-down banquet and an open bar until dawn. Instead of a gift list, most guests transfer money to the couple, roughly covering the cost of their meal. The cards follow one guest from the invitation to the last dance.
