Working as a Nurse in Spain

Check in patients, take bloods, ask about pain and hand over your shift on a Spanish ward.

In Spanish hospitals and centros de salud, nurses usually address patients as usted, especially older ones, and check identity with name, date of birth and the tarjeta sanitaria. Among staff it's tú, shifts are mañanas, tardes and noches, and each change of shift ends with el parte. The cards follow one day shift on a hospital ward.
