La boda estadounidense es muy organizada: la invitación llega unos dos meses antes y hay que responder sí o sí (RSVP), eligiendo el menú. El regalo se compra en la mesa de regalos (registry) de los novios, o se da dinero dentro de una tarjeta. Llegar sin confirmar o con acompañante no invitado está muy mal visto.
